Many “all-natural” shampoos either don’t clean effectively or have an ingredient list a mile long with suspect ingredients. Even worse… they often have misleading labels! It is popular to put a “pH Balanced” label on shampoo, but did you know that pH is only adjusted up or down to a set level at the first mixing? Without proper alkalinity control, that pH rises over time causing potential damage to your hair and scalp. What a sham! Suggested Use: Massage shampoo into wet hair and scalp. Perfect pH Shampoo doesn’t contain sulfites so it may not lather as much as you are used to. Don’t be concerned… trust the process and your hair will come out clean and soft. If you prefer, rinse out your first application, then repeat with a smaller amount of shampoo for a second fuller lather. Rinse thoroughly.

Trim Healthy Tips for Recycling Perfect pH Shampoo:
A couple of things to keep in mind when recycling… Let’s help keep our mother earth clean! Be sure to rinse out your Perfect PH bottle and let it dry before recycling. It is quite an eye-opener how many recyclable materials get rerouted to landfills because they are not cleaned out properly. Take your time to do it right to avoid contamination during the recycling process.
Items smaller than credit cards are not recyclable either, because they can jam up sorting equipment. So once rinsed and dried, make sure the lid is on tight. Most recycling centers will recycle plastic 1 and 2 without any problem. Perfect PH Shampoo is completely PET 1 recyclable. We are aiming to make it easier from the start, so it’s easier on you and our planet.
You can make a difference by cleaning containers better, only recycling what’s recyclable, and most importantly, reducing your overall use. Become a master recycler and your planet will thank you for it.

Smells amazing! It works very well on my baby girls’ fine hair, my older girl’s thick frizzy hair and my waist length medium thickness hair. My hair did go through a bit of an adjustment period, but Pearl’s trick of doing a second wash immediately following the first helped. Now I just do one wash a few times a week. My girls ask for the “mama” shampoo!

It took an adjustment period, but wow, this shampoo is amazing! At first my hair felt a little heavy, but I kept using it and after maybe the 3rd time I tried it, my long salt and pepper hair started getting more soft, luxurious, and silky feeling than it has ever been. I asked my husband to feel how soft my hair is, and he notices the difference, too. I also use the condition sparingly, but just the shampoo alone makes my hair feel great. I forgot to mention that I no longer have little scalp flakes from dandruff! Yay!

I really want to like the shampoo, but I’m struggling with it! I have thick hair and have to do 3-4 quarter to half dollar size squirts to each section of my head for the shampoo to get all the way to my scalp. The shampoo is hard to handle and slides off my hand before I can apply it to my head. I use so much shampoo each shower! My hair is very tangled after using the shampoo but the conditioner really softens it and acts like a detangler. I really like the conditioner – would definitely give it 5 stars! They both smell great!

I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner for several months. I get my hair permed about every 4 months, and it’s usually kind of frizzy for a week or two afterwards. Not so with my latest perm! My hair is soft and manageable, even right after the perm! As someone mentioned, I had trouble keeping the shampoo on my hands while massaging it into my hair. I put the shampoo in a spray bottle and added a little water. It works great to spray it onto my hair and then lather it! For reference: I am 67, post menopausal, with fine, very straight unless permed, shoulder length, graying hair.

I’ve been using this shampoo for quite a while, it is the best. I have a pixie cut and very fine hair too, I love the way it just styles perfectly while wet and I hardly have to blow dry at all. My hair is shiny, soft and manageable after using the shampoo and conditioner. I will never go back to anything else.

This shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair very heavy and greasy feeling and looking. I’ve read and done all the things – making sure my hair is very wet, shaking the bottle for 30 seconds, emulsifying the product in my hands, double washing, etc. But this is a very disappointing product and expenditure for me. I am skeptical of the five star reviews. I don’t understand why this is being touted and sold.

Once we realized the issue with emulsifying many customers noticed that shaking the bottles vigorously resolved any heavy feeling they were experiencing. I want to love it, but I just can’t. I have tried vigorously shaking the bottle before every use, washing twice, rinsing extra extra long…and the result is always sticky, greasy hair. And I have basically good hair. Never had any problems and a variety of commercial and natural shampoos have worked great for me. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch or what, but after giving up and trying again several times since I first bought the shampoo, I have to admit this is the one THM product that’s, sadly, a big “no” for me.

My previous review didn’t show up, I’ll try again. This stuff is amazing. It’s healing my otherwise itchy scalp and I can wash less often! Makes my hair softer than any shampoo I’ve tried. However, product is thin, slides off my hands so easily that it’s difficult to handle. If I can actually get it all in my hair, it then takes extra work for me to massage it in. I took off one star for that, which I’m not sure I should, because the product really does do a great job if you can get it in your hair and work it through. I just really wish it was thicker and less slippery.

I love the shampoo and am hoping for the conditioner soon! It is helpful to wash twice. Once with just a small amount on your roots. The 2nd time you get a great lather. I am 55+ with longish 2B-2C wavy salt and pepper very coarse hair and I’ve had scalp issues for over 30+ years (Seborrheic Dermatitis, Folliculitis/Scalp Acne, Eczema, and a very sensitive reactive scalp to most shampoos! Note: I visited my dermatologist in November for another unrelated issue and had her check my scalp and she told me I did not have SD anymore, but I do still have the other issues. And ever since going through the fun menopause, my scalp has gotten worse -even more sensitive and drier. I just call it a sensitive, eczema, and folliculitis/scalp acne issue now.). Well, I tried the new shampoo last night and I am very impressed. This shampoo is so gentle. It did not sting my sensitive skin or scalp at all. Zero irritation. Even though I have very thick, coarse, wavy salt and pepper hair, I chose not to use conditioner this time. My hair came out feeling full of bounce, clean, and my hair so soft. My scalp feels pretty good too. I might need to use a little conditioner though because due to the cold dry hair hair, I have a little static electricity here but only a little frizz. Okay, going to continue to use this shampoo and see how it goes. This shampoo definitely gets a thumbs up from me – an over 55+ THM “Mama” with wavy 2B-2C very coarse salt and pepper hair and a very sensitive eczema scalp! Ladies, try it! It is very gentle – almost like a baby shampoo, but much better! It cleans well, but does NOT dry out out your scalp or hair. Great for THM Ladies of all ladies ages and stages and for your whole family! AND WONDERFUL if you have a sensitive scalp and scalp issues like I have! I don’t think I’ve been as excited and impressed with a shampoo in a long time! Thank you so much for creating this!

Love the shampoo but need 2 applications for my hair to feel clean after it dries. Hoping that will ease into just 1 as my hair gets used to the formula. I knocked off a star because it is too loose for my liking. Hard to handle; just has too much water in it I guess. I could wish it was more concentrated but overall I love it and will be buying again.

I have super thick hair and have always had issues with dry scalp but oily hair. I also always had a spot of psoriasis on the back of my head near my neck. I LOVE this shampoo!!! I have used many toxin free shampoos over the last 10 years + and this IS MY FAVORITE!! My almost 61 year old hair is softer than ever and did not need a conditioner.
